Hannes Backlund: Embracing Disc Golf with Passion

Who are you? Hannes Backlund, 29 years old, residing in Larsmo.

When did you start playing disc golf and how? Spring 2020. I knew nothing about disc golf. I didn’t even know it was a sport when a friend asked me to play a round with him at Köykäri. I remember being quite skeptical, but I must say it was love at first flight!

What are your biggest achievements in disc golf? Becoming a member of Fullflight. Also, my first throw over 120 meters felt great!

What future goals do you have related to disc golf? Above all, I want to enjoy the sport and inspire others to start playing. I also try to participate in competitions as much as my schedule and stamina allow, as long as my body holds up.

Favorite disc? Latitude 64 Opto Claymore

A secret skill outside of disc golf? I bake an incredibly good sticky chocolate cake.
